| Poor Man's Toy Hauler | |

The Poor Mans Toy hauler is a long trailer that I have made into a small camper and at a fairly cheap price. I put the carpet down on the floor and ramp door. I put some shelves on the side walls mounted the spare tires on the wall to get more floor space. But what to do with the plane when you get to the field or fly in, Well if you look at one of the pictures you will see a 10 by 12 foot tarp that slides into a track on the side of the trailer. With a couple of poles it works great and, and even gives some shade to park your own butt under.
I had an old storm door that I had to cut down and make a spacer so it would fit the 30 inch by 6 foot door. this is so you will not be in a cave at a fly in. I did put an Air Condition in the top so you can sleep in cool and even have a fan when you do not need the Air. With the kitchens cabinets in the front you have all the space that you need for clothes and a little food. I did have a cooler that keeps Ice for 5 days so you can have a few drinks on ice. And I also have a portable potty just in case the need hits and there are no Potties around. The curtain is for privacy. I also wired it with 6 outlets for 110 power to run fans and toaster coffee pots etc.
I have used this unit and it is really comfortable with the blow up
bed. And from personal experience you can do some serious sleeping
in it with just a few rain drops falling. So if you need to
get to some of the fly ins with your plane and you want to stay on
the field because of the expenses involved at staying at a
motel, this is one way to go and remember that Financing is
